A YIN YANG & YOGA NIDRA SELECTION BOX FOR CHEEKY ELVES WORKSHOP
Tis the season to be jolly, stay up late, eat and drink all sorts of concoctions and dance the hind legs off a reindeer in your favourite 70s woollen geansaI.
So! Your little auld bod is going to need some support along the way, to keep up with all the bright lights the city has to offer. A lot of us will indulge in some of the above if not all of the above over the party season, so trying to maintain some balance and self-care along the way should keep us on the right side of Santas list.
During this 2.5 hour workshop we will reboot the whole system and refresh the body with a yin yang yoga, yoga nidra and pranayama selection box. We will start gentle, small and peaceful with some soothing yin poses to ease out tension and allow the body to settle as we begin to restore the internal organs with a focus on lungs, kidneys, spine and lower back area. Then we shall move and find freedom, release stagnant energy and ignite our creative naughty but nice playful side with some free flowing juicy movement to ground down into our roots, strengthen and hydrate the whole body with a yang yoga flowing sequence. As we free up the upper body, the heart and lungs will beat and expand wide open. The mix of movement, breath and stillness will flush and release toxins out of our lovely little Santa like Belly, liver, spleen and intestines.
During the practise 3 different pranayama (breathwork exercises) will be practised to either calm and earth the body, heat and/or activate the detoxification and purification process and help us feel less foggy in the head, stuck and sluggish.
It will be a natural decend to the floor to deepen the purification process of our body with more yin yoga nourishment to rest and revitalise fatigue in adrenal glandes and open the hips, legs and tight cheeky glutes as we work into our softer more empathic side.
Then the best prezzie of all! The elixer of life!! We will bolster, eye bag and blanket up for an absolute humdinger of a yoga nidra (sleep meditation) and a long soothing savasana to bring your whole self into complete rest and calm and give your sinapes and nervous system the switch off they are craving. It's gonna be a cracker folks! Expect to twinkle and float alllllll the way home.
