More about the therapies:

Holistic Massage

Indulge yourself in this luxurious full body, relaxing and therapeutic massage. This treatment combines a variety of massage techniques to unravel knots and release muscular tension and stress, promoting deep relaxation and a feeling of well-being. In this massage more time is concentrated on the back, neck and shoulders and will leave you feeling lighter, pampered and with a total sense of tranquility.

This massage encourages healing by relieving tension, stretching and loosening muscles and connective tissue and promoting blood flow and lymphatic system. Massage gives relief from the symptoms of anxiety, tension, stress and insomnia as well as back pain, headaches and muscle pain.

Designed to improve circulation and helps to cleanse the body of toxins, which are a by- product of modern life. It creates a balance within all the body systems, by promoting good organ function, while boosting the immune system, improving sleep patterns, skin tone and complexion.

Deep Tissue Massage

Deep Tissue Massage is a massage technique that focuses on the deeper layers of muscle tissue. It aims to release chronic patterns of tension in the body through slow strokes and deep finger pressure on the contacted areas, either following or going across the fibres of the muscles, tendons and fascia.

Deep tissue massage is used to release chronic muscle tension through slower strokes and more direct deep pressure or friction applied across the grain of the muscles not with the grain. It helps to break up and eliminate scar tissue.

A deep-tissue massage helps loosen muscle tissues, releases toxins from muscles and gets blood and oxygen circulating properly.
Indian Head Massage

Indian Head Massage is an ancient massage technique based on the Ayurvedic system of healing, which has been practised in India for over a thousand years. By working over the upper back, shoulders, neck and head and using pressure points on the face, Indian Head
Massage provides you with the ultimate relaxing experience, giving instant relief from tension and symptoms of stress and inducing a state of calm, whilst promoting high levels of alertness and concentration.
Indian Head Massage is particularly good for relieving stress, muscular tension and fatigue.
It helps relieve eye strain, jaw ache, tension headaches, sinusitis and insomnia, By easing the knots of muscular tension and relaxing the connective tissue, Indian Head Massage helps increase mobility and flexibility in the neck and shoulders, while impoving blood circulation
and lymphatic flow

What is Reflexology?

Reflexology is based on the theory that there are reflex points relating to all of the body's structures and systems on the feet. For example, the big toe represents the head. A reflexologist can stimulate the internal organs, glands and bones of the body and bring them into a natural state of balance by massaging these reflex points on the feet. A reflexology treatment lasts one hour.

Benefits of Reflexology

Reflexology can help with the following:

  • Relieves any Stress Related Disease
  • Reduces tension and anxiety
  • Skeletal Problems in Back, Neck, Shoulder, Knee, Hip, Pelvis etc
  • Bowel Disorders e.g. Constipation, Irritable Bowel Syndrome
  • Depression and Anxiety
  • Menstrual Problems - cramps, bloating, ovarian cysts, irregular periods
  • Arthritis
  • Urinary Infections - cystitis, UTIs
  • Migraines and Headaches
  • Flu, Sinuses and Colds
  • Chest Infections and Asthma
  • Sleeping Disorders
  • Boosts circulation of blood and lymph
  • Helps maintain general health
  • Instils a feeling of well being and contentment
  • Cleanses the body of toxins and impurities

Maternity Reflexology - Pregnancy, Labour and Fertility

Reflexology is a wonderful therapy, which can be used safely during pregnancy and labour. It is best to wait until you are 12 weeks pregnant or more before you avail of a treatment. Reflexology is recommended by Holles Street Hospital in Dublin for pregnant women. It is also highly recommended by Dr Gowri Motha in her book Gentle Birth Method. Dr Gowri Motha is famous for having treated Elle Macpherson and other famous stars during pregnancy.

Benefits of a reflexology treatment during Pregnancy and Labour can include some of the following:

  • Reduces morning sickness
  • Can bring relief from indigestion, constipation, haemorrhoids, and morning sickness
  • Regularise Blood pressure
  • Helps with heartburn, backache and sciatica
  • Will help you sleep better and give you more energy
  • Prepares the body for labour by balancing the bodys systems, especially the endocrine system which is responsible for the secretion of many important hormones
  • Reflexology can help induce labour naturally

The length of labour can be very much reduced by having regular treatments in the weeks prior to your expectant delivery date.

Reflexology can be used during labour to help boost energy levels, aid deep muscle relaxation between contractions. It can stimulate production of natural endorphins.

After birth Reflexology babies are very calm, suckle better and are less prone to colic.

Getting Pregnant

Sometimes couples are told there is no obvious medical reason as to why they cant get pregnant. This often leaves couples wondering desperately what can they do. Often the reason can be down to stress and tension of our everyday life. You cant get pregnant until you relax and you cant relax because you cant get pregnant!

Why not try Reflexology as part of your solution? It has a good success rate and its completely natural and is non-invasive. It can also be used alongside medicinal treatment primarily for relaxation.

After Birth

After the birth Reflexology can help you recover. It can bring relief to Post Natal Depression, Insomnia, Stress and Anxiety. It can also help the uterus return to its original state, increase energy levels and aid Caesarean recovery.

BUPA Schemes

If you have Essential or Essential Plus Schemes with BUPA you can claim back Euro20 for every visit. If you have Health Manager Schemes you can claim back 50of the cost of the treatment.
