Workplace Wellbeing

workplace wellbeing

Anyone who enjoys a healthy, active lifestyle knows that work can sometimes interfere with our best intentions.  It can often be difficult to squeeze workouts and clean eating in around meetings and long commutes.

I am lucky enough to work for a company who is aware of the importance work-life balance and who continually strives to improve workplace wellbeing.  We spend so much of our time at the office that having healthy options available is a real help in maintaining a happy lifestyle.  It’s reassuring to know that my employer is focused on facilitating this.

Part of the available activities are early morning and lunchtime Pilates and yoga classes.  These are especially well attended and you get over the shyness of seeing your colleagues in lycra surprisingly quickly!  I have found that having a shared interest makes interacting at a corporate level much easier and it’s a great way to meet people from different areas of the business.
It is so convenient to be able to attend a class on campus and it’s great for de-stressing and a quick energy boost… Let’s face it, who doesn’t need a bit of that midweek!

If your office doesn’t already offer a wellness programme, give Lorna, our Yoga Dublin Manager a shout and she will be happy to suggest some options to introduce a little zen into your workplace!  You know you deserve it.
