The Core & Inner Fire - A Yoga, Mindfulness & Meditation Workshop

Gently awaken your Core & the Inner Fire as we mindfully explore the journey of self-enquiry that is Yoga, the awareness of your present-moment stream of experience (in a non-judgmental way) that is Mindfulness and the focused practice that is Meditation. 

 

In this Yogarani workshop, you will explore gentle yoga flow and posture practice (asana) to mindfully ignite the Core and the Inner Fire from the inside out!

 

You will be guided through mindfulness & meditation practices. And our practices will connect to the energy of the April New Moon.

 

Curious about the Core, outside and inside?

 

The external (outside) dynamic of our Core relates to the physical and abdominal muscle toning and strengthening, back support and whole-body stability.

 

The internal (inside) dynamic of our Core relates to our core energy, feelings of personal empowerment, enthusiasm and passion.

 

Who should attend?

 

Anyone with some yoga experience is welcome to attend.

 

No prior experience in mindfulness or meditation is needed.

 

Suitable for anyone with a curiosity about Mindfulness, Meditation and Yoga as Self-Enquiry. (Note: not recommended for Very first-time yogis)

Workshop: AcroYoga returns to Yoga Dublin!


 
AcroYoga International and PartnerAcrobatics Certified teacher, Giulia will bring us through the foundations and fundamentals of AcroYoga during this 2-hours workshop. Giulia will introduce basic poses and flows in a fun and safe environment; all weaved with partner drills, games, smart and accessible progressions and lots of solar energy.

 

This workshop is mainly addressed to people who have little or no experience with AcroYoga or who would like to refine their acro skills and technique, nevertheless all levels are welcome!

 

What is AcroYoga?


Combining acrobatics, yoga and therapeutics, AcroYoga connects people all over the world, improving communication, body awareness, mutual trust, and self-confidence in a safe and fun environment, all the while increasing strength, flexibility and fitness level in its practitioners. AcroYoga can make you feel light as a feather or rooted like a tree. This practice is based on listening, trust and respect, and it is mainly about exploring and expanding your physical and psychological limits, overcoming fears when stepping out of your comfort zone and building trust and connection with other people.

Workshop: Active Recovery for the Upper Limb and Shoulder with Joseph Devlin

 

 

Date: Saturday, April 14th

Time: 2-5pm

Location: Yoga Dublin Ranelagh

 

This workshop is a chance to go deeper into where your body is holding you back. With the extra time of a workshop we get a chance to gain a fuller understanding of where and why tension and sometimes pain occurs.


Learn the technique behind using rollers and tennis balls to address the pressure points in your muscles.

 

Go deeper into why your breath is so useful to enhance these techniques and engages you to be present in your body.

 

The anatomy and physiology of muscles will be explained and tension patterns are demonstrated. Then the workings and benefits of yin and restorative asanas will be explained in simple terms.

 

After this workshop you will feel informed, and if your work is to be able to share this work with others you will enjoy a fuller understanding of our amazing bodies natural balancing process.

 

Those carrying injuries are welcomed at the class as it’s run by a qualified physical therapist, therefore can be tailored to any level of activity.

 

Please arrive a little early to discuss any injuries with the facilitator.

 

Please note a full assessment is not possible due to time constraints, general advice will happily be given.

Forward bends held for 5 minutes can become what they are meant to be in a yoga practice, which is a calming effect for the nervous system.

 

Neck and shoulders will benefit from some mindful movements to release the tension in them and bring them back to a better position to enhance posture.

Haelee Reis

Haelee is a pole dancer from Australia who loves all things movement, spending a lot of time upside down in handstands or on the pole

 

Haelee moved from Canberra, Aust. to Dublin in 2015 to challenge herself and skillset in the Irish and European market and competitive arena.

 

In 2016 Haelee won the All Ireland Pole Dance Championships, her first time ever competing.

 

From a young age Haelee has always played competitive sports including representing her home state at nationals for baseball serveral times and numerous track and field athletics events. 

 

Haelee is number four out of her ten siblings and absolutely adores having grown up with such a big crazy family.

 

The weekend sport run for the parents was like the family edition of The Amazing Race. 

 

Haelee teaches Skulpt Barre and Skulpt Conditioning classes at Yoga Dublin.
