I strongly believe the practice of yoga is learning how to love yourself and that yoga is for everybody. I start practicing yoga when I was pregnant as I needed to find again that union between body, mind and soul. That was eight years ago in Yoga Dublin Studio; there, in the last few years, I practiced Vinyasa flow and Anusara Yoga and I still do it. With teaching in my genes, I teach kids since I was a teenager myself because I love teaching and I love kids. When I realized I love yoga too, I decided to put the three things together: I completed my 200h yoga teacher training and specialized in yoga for kids 2 years ago. I teach kids since then and I cover adult classes for my favourite teachers. I like going to other’s teachers classes and breathe that unique atmosphere in which teachers and students are blended together and at ease with each other. I like taking part in yoga workshops and I feel privileged I studied with the likes of Jodie Rufty (USA) and Donna Farhi. I also attended the Somatic Movement Education Training with Lisa Petersen so when I teach, I focus a lot about posture and alignment, and how to give back the body the ability to cure itself. I also believe that with food you can cure yourself: food is medicine and I share this passion about cooking with my little girl. Being a mother just reinforced my need of a healthy lifestyle and my environmentalist beliefs. The world is hosting us and the earth giving us its fruits....Let’s be gentle and grateful! My favourite yoga poses are the inversions, because they make you to see the world form another point of view.
Yoga for kids and family yoga:
I teach my kids to love themselves and respect the world around them, to keep practicing their imagination, to believe that anything is possible, on the mat and in life in general. I teach adults to focus on the basics, to practice in a safe way and to return to their inner child.
