Suki

Suki attended her first Ashtanga yoga class in 2000. Initially drawn by the physical practice, she quickly realised there was much more to the practice of yoga and so her journey began.
In recent years Suki was inspired by Vinyasa Flow Yoga and in 2009 she completed her teacher training with David Curtis. In 2011 Suki completed her Level 2 Vinyasa Flow Teacher Training again with David Curtis.
Suki is so grateful to be able to attend regular workshops with national and international senior teachers and participated in a series of certified workshops with Marie Quail in 2013. Suki is a qualified prenatal teacher (Yoga Alliance Certified) and is also a qualified Indian Head Massage Therapist.
Suki’s classes are flowing, focusing on attention to alignment, integration of breath and cultivation of awareness. She likes to create a supportive environment where students are encouraged to work at their own personal level while being challenged in a safe environment. Along with her group classes, Suki also holds corporate classes and individual classes.
Suki is a busy mum of two wonderful children and understands that sometimes, life can move at a hectic pace. Her aim is to share the experience of practising yoga and demonstrate that through our practice we can learn to inspire ourselves, while developing and maintaining and an inner calm which we can translate into our daily lives.

Suki instructs the following:
  • 5 Week Yoga for Beginners Course
  • This five week course is perfect for those who are either completely new to Yoga or would like to return to it after a break.
    Learn the physical postures (Asanas), breathing techniques (Pranayama) and some midful meditation techniques to develop great yoga foundations.

    Every week we’ll focus on learning fundamental Asanas to then bring them into a short sequence of flowing movements. Breathing techniques will support the physical practice and will help find more ease in the body and mind. This comprehensive class will help you to relax and stretch tired muscles and find more balance and stability through the body. Every session ends with a prolonged guided relaxation.

    Some of the benefits of regular Yoga practice are improved flexibility, balance and stability through the body as well as reduced stress and improved breathing.
