Caroline Downey

Caroline is an IYA 200 hours certified teacher. She completed her teacher training in Vinyasa Flow Yoga with Dave Curtis in November 2007 in Dublin. She has also trained in gentle Yin Yoga with Sara Powers in London. Caroline teaches a Vinyasa Flow style class with emphasis on correct alignment for individual bodies. She believes that yoga should always be enjoyable and fun and that we listen to our bodies and practice yoga and living with mindfulness and joy. Caroline is also qualified to teach Pregnancy Yoga, she completed her training in The Elbow Room, Dublin in 2008 and thoroughly enjoys helping women through the various stages of their pregnancy.

Amelia Dunne

 
Amelia trained as a fitness instructor in Litton Lane and holds an NCEF (National Certificate in Exercise & Fitness). She is also a qualified Pilates Instructor with Bodyfirm in both Level 1 (beginner) and Level 2 (advanced) mat work.
 
She loves to teach a challenging class and her students will definitely feel it in all the right places the next day!

Amelia also teaches Barre Concept which she loves as it’s a cardio workout combining Pilates and overall body conditioning.

 

Mich Piazza

Mich has been a lover of all forms of dance since she was a child but gave up dancing following a car accident. On her quest to find relief from the chronic pain she was experiencing, and keen to get back into body movement, she discovered yoga. During her yoga journey, Mich found herself attracted to the grace and precision of Pilates and, embarking on a new career path, trained to teach both yoga and Pilates as well as ballet barre. Mich has trained in Pre and Post Natal Pilates, Pilates for Osteoporosis, Pilates for Spinal Injuries, Pilates with Props, Level 3 Advanced Mat Work, Reformer 1 & 2, Pilates at the Barre and BarreConcept. In 2014, and eager to get back into dancing, Mich stumbled across a pole fitness class and a new addiction was born. She did the Xpert Pole Fitness Level 1&2 training in 2016 (and received the Active IQ Level 2 QCF Award in instructing) and in 2017 she trained in dance methodology Liquid Motion. Mich frequently takes part in pole competitions and has taken home gold in Pole Dance Ireland Princess, first place in Pole Theatre Ireland (Comedy) and a silver and a bronze in the All Ireland Pole Dance Championships. In her spare time she practices chair acrobatics (but don’t try that at home!) and is a dedicated student of Lyra (aerial hoop) and circus trapeze.

Lisa T Tuthill

Lisa Tuthill initially discovered Pilates after the birth of her son in 2008.

She loved the way it helped her body recover and strengthen and alsot themind/body focus the exercises demanded.

Lisa decided to begin Balanced Body Teacher Training so that she could introduce this functional movement to others. Lisa has a strong desire to help her clients develop optimal health and vitality in their lives.

The Pilates Method is an exercise system focused on improving flexibility and strength for the total body without building bulk. It is a series of controlled movements engaging your body and mind,which aims to promote a feeling of physical and mental well-being.Benefits include toning the stomach, buttocks, thighs, upper body. Increasing strength, flexibility, improving circulation and respiratory function. Boosting immune system, improving posture and lowering stress.


Not suitable if pregnant.  If you have a regular yoga practice at Yoga Dublin and want to continue attending non ­prenatal class only some teachers permit students to attend when pregnant so please notify us when booking to check with the teacher.
