Yoga for Everyone

This class is taught by:

Amy-Louise Soraghan

Amy's approach to Yoga is to incorporate a dynamic, grounded and nurturing style of teaching. Her practice focuses on building strength and flexibility whilst creating a meditative flow through asana with emphasis on breath and alignment.

A firm believer in practicing what she teaches, Amy continues to seek the advice of great teachers to expand her knowledge, deepen her own practice and pass this on to others. She believes in exploring life and using yoga as a means of re-connecting to the truth present within us all.

Her classes are designed to offer a space for exploration and connection with the body, mind and soul.

Kerrie O'Sullivan

Kerrie was first introduced to yoga through a dance module in College, where a 'Sun Salutation' was taught as part of the class warm-up. Intrigued be the sequence of movements that linked so beautifully with the breath, she decided to try a yoga class and has been practicing ever since. Her increasing fascination with all of yoga led her to complete her 200hr teacher training certificate in the Yoga Room in 2015.

Kerrie has recently returned from a trip to India, where she practiced Iyengar yoga with Usha Devi. She likes to focus on correct alignment but then finding a freedom within that shape, using breath and mind to help create that space and freedom. Kerrie believes her teaching style is a mix of all the wonderful teachers she has. She is a warm and lively teacher.

Michelle E Egan

Michelle was introduced to yoga while on a tennis scholarship in America in the mid 90’s. At the time yoga was largely unheard of in Ireland but she recognised its benefits to athletes in prevention of injury and also building up strength and confidence within. It was several years later while working in media in London that Michelle was reintroduced to yoga. She made the decision to train as a yoga instructor and completed her training in Hatha yoga in 2006.

Michelle’s teaching places emphases on a deep connection with the breath, stillness and clarity of the mind, strength, balance and a mindful flow of movement. She teaches dynamic and gentle classes depending on the needs of her classes Michelle is also a qualified prenatal, mum and baby yoga and kids yoga teacher. Her mum and
baby classes in Ranelagh are divided between mum and baby. For the mums we focus on rebuilding core strength, toning pelvic floor muscles and strengthening up the lower back and shoulders. We work with the breath and, when allowed!, even enjoy some quiet relaxation. The babies then enjoy some wonderful hip openers and stretching followed by songs and lots of fun.

This class is a great opportunity to meet other mums and babies and you and your baby will both benefit from this class. Suitable from 4 weeks on… All levels welcome. This is a drop in class. No booking necessary but limited numbers do apply

Michelle is a certified baby massage instructor and has massaged over 300 babies in the last 6 years in Dublin. Her 4 week course runs regularly in Yoga Dublin, Dundrum.

Massage soothes your baby and is pleasurable for you both. Research has shown the respiratory, muscular, circulatory and immune systems all benefit from the positive effects of massage. Make the most of this special time and enjoy the sounds and smells that will help you to bond with your baby. Course cost 120 euro with up to 100 euro redeemable on some health insurance policies. Sophie Grace

Six years ago Sophie moved to China, she was living in a huge city that was busy, loud and stressful. After a couple of weeks she found yoga and her mat quickly became her happy place and an escape from the craziness of everyday life in China. She soon became hooked and has been on her journey ever since and is loving being able to share her practice. Sophie's favourite thing about yoga is that there is no pressure, no judgement, no expectations: it gives us the space to be ourselves, perfect just the way we are.

Sophie pays great attention to safety and alignment principles in her classes but she take a light-hearted approach and creates a warm and friendly atmosphere where we're all in it together. She always says that we should use the pose to get into the body, not the body to get into the pose and that there is no 'one size fits all' when it comes to yoga. She encourages people to tune into their bodies, find their own pace and feel what's right for them. Expect lots of fun transitions, dynamic flows with variations to suit everybody and loads of love from hands-on assists.

She brings her passion and love for teaching to every class and loves teaching a fast-paced Vinyasa Flow class just as much as a gentle and juicy Restorative class, and a bit of everything in between. Her hope is that you leave feeling strong, happy and nourished both inside and out!
Yoga for Everyone is a community priced class, discounted from our regular price of €16 to €12.

It is a mixed level class open to all levels. The teacher will give appropriate options and modifications depending on the level.

However, if you are a complete beginner, it is not an ideal first class.
