Michele Van Valey

 
Michele has trained extensively with master teachers in the Ashtanga, Iyengar and Satyananda traditions in India, Ireland and the U.S. The variety in her studies over the years has enhanced her philosophy that yoga is for every body.
 
She has enjoyed working with athletes, children, professionals and people with therapeutic or rehabilitative needs. Some examples of class styles...
 
Vinyasa flow– A powerful practice of flowing Yoga postures linked together by the breath. Encourages flexibility, strength and proper alignment. Experience greater clarity and a relaxed state of awareness.
 
Gentle Rehabilitative – Easy gentle movements enhance joint mobility, relaxation and encourage strength and flexibility in areas that may be weak, sore or tender due to chronic pain. Work toward restoring the body’s natural balance combining gentile yoga, pilates and deep relaxation.
 
Michele is also trained as a Pilates teacher, Prenatal yoga teacher and Mum & Baby yoga teacher.
 
Qualified as a Holistic Health Consultant by the Institute for Integrative Nutrition in New York City and the American Association of Drugless Practitioners, Michele provides lifestyle and nutrition consultations. More information on her website www.bodyworks.ie 

Apple Yu

 
Apple was in search of a practice that would help relieve her bad back pain, after trying a few different things she found that yoga was the best solution. Ever since discovering yoga, she became addicted!

Her hobby grew into a passion and now after years of regular practice, she decided to turn her love into a profession and become a yoga teacher. She has successfully completed 200 hours training with Dave Curtis, and is certified as a Vinyasa Flow Yoga teacher.
 
Apple has recently started practicing shadow yoga with Dave Curtis and Karen Watson, she is hoping that her own practice will in turn both fresh and challenging aspects into her classes.

Laura Sarah Dowdall

 
As an internationally experienced Yoga teacher, Life Coach, Reiki Master and Professional Dancer- Laura offers an integrated approach to wellbeing through her expertise in Yoga, Somatic Movement, Healing and Transformational Change processes.
 
Her classes offer enhanced self-awareness, creativity and rejuvenation with dynamic sequencing, somatic movement and deep healing practices to refresh every body, mind and spirit.
 
Laura is a guest speaker and facilitator of practical wellness, stress management, creative expression, team-building and personal empowerment programmes.
 
Laura’s passion is to assist people in realising their fullest potential through positive life changes that enhance personal satisfaction, health and happiness. She empowers people with practical skills to enable the release of tension, trauma, stress and anxiety.
 
Laura’s previous career in marketing, event management and business development in Ireland, the USA and Germany provide her with commercial perspective and real-life understanding of the challenge to attain work-life balance, manage stress and achieve career satisfaction.
 
Laura studied International Commerce and Italian in UCD and International Negotiation, Conflict Resolution and Cross Cultural Change at Harvard University. She achieved a Higher Diploma with Yoga Therapy Ireland, an Accredited Diploma in Executive and Life Coaching.
 
She has completed professional training in Contemporary Dance and Somatic Movement practices.
 
Laura is a Certified Reiki and Seichim Master.

Level 1-2 classes are for those with some experience of yoga – intermediate and more challenging poses are introduced but variations and modifications will be offered.
